GROW - mentoring model.
GROW is one of the models used in mentoring and coaching.
A mentoring program is a structured, contractual business process designed to accelerate technical knowledge transfer and personal development. It utilizes calibrated frameworks to transition employees from tactical execution to strategic, autonomous problem-solving against defined operational KPIs.
Talent develops and acquires competencies using the framework of the mentoring process, alongside the mentor's experience and knowledge.
A mentoring program is a two-way process with a contract and a measurable goal.
Talent development, succession, professional role transition.
How do the example mentoring framework works?
• G - Goal: We define a strict, measurable target (improving quality level or upgrading the process). We sign mentoring contract.
• R - Reality: We define actual status and document the exact baseline and current constraints without blame. We just capture existing reality as a starting point.
• O - Options (Alternatives): We generate technical process solutions and development options, rather than waiting for management to provide the answer.
• W - Will (Execution): We build a binding commitment, timeline, action plan, and tracking system that ensures accountability.
